What are the Main Features of Borneo Rainforest Lodge?

Naturalists were commissioned to design this lodge and it was built within Sabah's largest protected forest along the Danum River. It guarantees tasty cuisine, rich comfort, privacy and a wildlife experience within wildlife and history. It follows Dusun architecture by using local products and the use of walkways to connect all the dwellings of the Rainforest lodge.

What are the Endemic Species at Danum Valley?

The forest that houses the lodge is home to almost 300 kinds of birds, 110 warmblooded animals. Some of these include the orang-utan, the flying squirrel, Rhinoceros hornbill, Bornean gibbons, Sumatran rinoceros, Asian elephant, Bulwar's pheasant and bearded pigs.

The Resort followed the natural geography to protect as much of the natural beauty and treasures of the area. Only a few trees were cut and trimmed and this is only because of visibility.

What are the different Types of Accommodations?

Standard Chalets offer an veranda where you can fully enjoy the breathtaking rainforest views. Bring along a friend or more as these chalets can accommodate up to three in comfort. They also feature solar powered fans and with the natural cool winds, mother nature offers the best ventilation option.

Deluxe Chalets offers a choice between river view or jungle view outdoor decks or both. Try the day bed Deluxe rooms that offer a day bed outside the verandah for a view of both the river and the forest.

The river view deluxe chalets offer a private outdoor tub located at your room's balcony, perfect for cooling down after a day of exploratory hiking trips.

The jungle view room also offers an outdoor tub and deck chairs for a relaxing time basking in mother nature's beauty. This is actually best for visitors with children.

The Deluxe Chalets were made available only this 2007 and they have remained popular ever since.
